Bio
‘A vocalist, songwriter and pianist with an undeniably pure and powerful voice.’
Emily Craig is a multilingual singer-songwriter who combines smooth, soulful vocals with thought-provoking lyrics. A combination of her love of music, writing and languages influenced Emily to craft a repertoire of original material whilst living in France and Spain. She was inspired by stories of people she met busking on the streets of Granada, jazz jams in Lyon and living in a house of 19 international students. Since then, Emily’s single releases have garnered support from BBC Introducing and have led to sold-out headline shows at jazz clubs across London.
Whilst performing as a resident piano/ vocalist at iconic locations across London, such as The Shard and The Dorchester, Emily has spent the last year crafting her debut EP, ‘Existing’ at her studio in Brixton, set for release in 2024. Inspired by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Haim, Sheryl Crow and Chappell Roan, Emily’s new material reflects on observations she has made and situations she has experienced in her 20s whilst living capital. The collection of songs draws on her diverse influences, incorporating the story-telling narratives of country music, soulful, pop grooves, and pure, powerful vocals.
